There are many things we use daily which has many small features that you probably never even noticed. Those are not just for the show sometimes they do have a purpose. So, here are the 10 things that you don’t know the use for.

1)Hole in the pen caps.

[WORNG GUESS}.You are not alone a lot of people think the hole in the cap of a ballpoint pen is there to keep the pen from drying out, but the real reason is quite simple. Its purpose is to lower the risk of suffocation. If a small child was chewing on the cap and choked on it, the hole keeps their airway from closing up entirely – a design feature that, quite literally, saves lives.

2)Strips on the headphone jack.

Have you ever wondered what is the use of these lines?. These lines are responsible for leading the wires to both the right and the left speaker on your earbud. Without these two lines, you would only be able to hear out of one ear.

3)The extra piece of fabric that comes along with your clothes.

You thought that extra piece of fabric that comes along with your clothes is to used as a patch? NO, the actual use is to test how different laundry detergents will react to your new garment.

4)The little hole at the bottom of padlocks.

The tiny hole present at the bottom of the padlocks is there to help oil the locks in case it becomes rusty. and it lets water drain out of the lock if you’re using it outdoors.

5)Thick bit found on many cables.

Those are ferrite cores /chokes, and they’re just chunks of magnetic iron oxide that are there to suppress high-frequency electromagnetic interference. You should have noticed weird interference when your cell phone goes too close to a speaker. The ferrite cores are there to keep that from happening to your monitors, power supplies, and everything else.

6)Hole in the window of an airplane.

The hole in the window of an airplane is present to compensate the air pressure. These holes are actually called “bleed holes,”  This is present to make sure that, when the plane ascends there isn’t a huge difference in pressure between the inside and outside of the plane. Not only that it also helps the windows from fogging up.

7)Tiny loop at the back of the shirts.

The purpose is straightforward, They are present so that we can easily hang them up in a closet without wrinkling them.

8)Dimples on the golf balls.

The purpose is to reduce the amount of drag while it is flying in the air. These dimpled ridges not only allow the golf ball to fly faster, but also farther.
